UConn star Paige Bueckers is preparing for her final college season this fall. The guard joined the Huskies in 2020 and has since led them to three Final Fours and a championship game in 2022.

UConn had its media day on Monday and Paige Bueckers shared a few mirror selfies to her Instagram from her last media day with the Huskies.

"Last anni media mirror pics," she wrote in the caption.

Paige Bueckers' struggled with back-to-back injuries at UConn, which left the guard on the sideline for almost a year and a half. Bueckers first sustained a tibial plateau fracture and lateral meniscus tear in her sophomore year. She was sidelined for almost two months but returned to lead the Huskies to a championship game.

While preparing for the 2022-23 season, Paige Bueckers tore her ACL while playing a round of pickup basketball in August. She sat out for the entire season and made a healthy return in 2023. The guard led UConn to the Final Four, before falling short to Caitlin Clark and the Iowa Hawkeyes. She averaged 21.9 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per contest.

Paige Bueckers is prepared to go all out in her final season

While Paige Bueckers has already established herself as one of the best players in college basketball, winning an NCAA championship will put her in the same league as other Huskies legends like Maya Moore, Sue Bird, and Diana Taurasi. And this is seemingly her goal for the 2024-25 season.

"There’s a much larger sense of urgency,” Bueckers said to The New York Times. “This is my last year to get what I came here for, which is a national championship. … No more ‘Passive Paige.’”
"I want to be an unselfish player, somebody that people love to play with, but at the same time, I'm trying to balance that with also being like, a killer, a scorer, a bucket getter. It's always been a battle of me trying to find the happy medium, but I think for the most part from here on out I gotta be more aggressive first."

UConn coach Geno Auriemma asked Bueckers to be less kind and more aggressive with her scoring and the guard could employ this in the quest to end UConn's championship drought.
