USC Trojans star JuJu Watkins attended the 2024 Cannes Lions Festival in Cannes, France, which took place from June 17 to June 21.

On Sunday, Watkins shared glances of her trip to the French city, showing various moments from the event, where she talked about empowering women's sports.

"Thank youuu Stagwell Global," Watkins wrote in the caption.

JuJu Watkins posted pictures of her appearance in MediaLink's segment titled "The Moment: Women & Sports," where she shared the stage with Fara Leff, the COO of Klutch Sports Group.

Watkins was also an attendee at the Women’s Sports House TV segment alongside UCLA guard Kiki Rice, where she discussed how college basketball has evolved in recent years and its future prospects.

"For me, it was my first year in college so it was kind of everything at once. I mean of course, with the stardom from last year and Caitlin Clark and big names like Angel Reese and the attention they were able to grab definitely propelled more," Watkins said.

In addition, the 2024 Pac-12 Freshman of the Year uploaded some of her selfies, behind-the-scenes shots from interviews, candid shots from the streets of Cannes and a picture of her mother, Sari Watkins, savoring an ice cream.

Watkins also met with LSU basketball player and rapper Flau'jae Johnson, who was there to perform her song at the festival.

"The duo we didn’t know we needed," ESPNW captioned the photo of Watkins and Johnson on Instagram.

JuJu Watkins is an inspiration to young female athletes

Although still quite young, the 6-foot-2 guard JuJu Watkins is living her dream by playing college basketball and inspiring young female athletes to keep pursuing their goals.

Since her high school days, Watkins has consistently excelled, securing the Naismith Prep and National Player of the Year awards in 2023. According to ESPN, she was a top recruit in the class of 2023.

"The women in the sport are incredible and just to see the rise of the game, it's so inspiring," Watkins said. "It's definitely a collective effort. I wouldn’t say I hold any sole responsibility. Just make sure I’m doing my part."

As a USC star, Watkins boasts an impressive track record in college basketball. She led the Trojans to the NCAA Elite Eight last year in her debut season.

Besides, she won almost all the freshman awards last season and came in second in NCAA, scoring with an average of 27.1 points, 7.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.3 steals per game.
