The USC Trojans rocketed themselves to preseason No. 1 favorites with the commitment of Talia von Oelhoffen from the Oregon State Beavers via the transfer portal. Her opting for USC came about after a concerted effort by star JuJu Watkins to have the guard join the Trojans.
Although she's already settling into life in Southern California, von Oelhoffen graduated from Oregon State to finish her time there. On Monday, she shared a series of pictures on Instagram from her graduation ceremony.

Talia von Oelhoffen explains the hard decision to leave Oregon State
Talia von Oelhoffen and the Oregon State Beavers enjoyed a productive basketball season in 2023-2024, reaching the Elite Eight of the 2024 NCAA Tournament.
OSU ultimately lost to the dominant South Carolina Gamecocks, coached by the legendary Dawn Staley. In the days that followed, several players knew that their time as Beavers had come to an end, and von Oelhoffen led the conversations.
During an interview with On3, she described how she conducted a difficult group meeting in the dressing room with her teammates.
"I talked a lot in the meeting honestly, and then I let them all say their piece," Talia von Oelhoffen told On3.
"It was very much telling them to just be ready for what's coming and just giving advice on how we should all handle it and how we need to carry ourselves through it. Just reassuring ourselves that we know this is the right decision. This is our decision. So what other people are saying shouldn't carry weight and doesn't matter."
von Oelhoeffen is a two-time All-Pac-12 star and averaged 10.7 points, shooting 38.7% from the field and 31.7% from beyond the arc, while adding 4.1 rebounds and 5.0 assists last season to make her one of the most coveted players to enter the transfer portal.
Talia von Oelhoffen also gave another reason why she opted to leave the Beavers and join coach Lindsay Gottlieb's USC Trojans.
"I just knew in my heart that I wanted something else from my last year. Both on the court and off the court, so many different things go into it. But it was definitely a super hard decision," von Oelhoffen said.
The USC star has joined a team that already has stars like JuJu Watkins, Kiki Iriafen and Rayah Marshall alongside the No. 1 recruiting class in the nation to make for a stacked squad widely considered favorites for the national championship next season.
