NBA legend Carmelo Anthony shared glimpses with his son Kiyan Anthony from the New York Liberty vs. Las Vegas Aces clash. The father-son duo had a great time with Liberty point guard Sabrina Ionescu and former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick.
The Liberty won Game 2 of the WNBA playoff semifinals 88-84 on Tuesday. Kiyan, a four-star shooting guard in the 2025 recruiting class, was in attendance at Barclays Center with his father.
Ionescu put up 24 points, nine rebounds, and five assists for the Liberty. Breanna Stewart who also took pictures with Kiyan, added 15 points. The Liberty gained a 2-0 lead in the playoff series.
Ionescu played for Oregon in college and was the first overall pick by the Liberty in the 2020 WNBA draft.
Colin, a civil rights activist, played six seasons for the San Francisco 49ers in the NFL. At college, he played for Nevada.

"My friends maybe not having the same opportunities as I have, I'm the one that's tried to bring them along with me," Anthony said. "I don't want to make them feel left out."
He is close with his mother, La La, a famous television personality.
"I would say everybody sees when the cameras are on [my dad] and then they're on me because I'm playing good, but I would say my mom does a lot more background stuff. Like, when I'm going through something or I need somebody to talk to, my mom is definitely the person," Anthony said.
"And she's the one who really pushes me to get in the gym, even if I don't want to. To go to school and stay on top of my grades and stuff like that."
Kiyan Anthony received offers from 21 schools. In July, he trimmed the list to six schools and this week shared that he will choose between Auburn, USC and Syracuse.
