Former Iowa standout Caitlin Clark added another achievement to her historic rookie year in the WNBA, getting selected for the All-WNBA First Team. Clark had one of the best debut seasons in league history and won the Rookie of the Year award.
Her teammates at Iowa — Gabbie Marshall, Monika Czinano and Kate Martin — were thrilled about her accomplishment, taking to social media to congratulate Clark and share how proud they are of her.
Czinano, who graduated from Iowa last year after spending five seasons with the Hawkeyes, reposted on her Instagram story a photo posted by Indiana Fever celebrating Clark's feat.
"Duh 🫶 u @caitlinclark22," Czinano captioned.
Caitlin Clark reacted to the post, expressing her gratitude with two red heart emojis and sharing Czinano's story on her own.
Gabbie Marshall, who played with the Fever star for four seasons in Iowa, also reposted the photo and wrote: "proud of you," with a white heart emoji on her Instagram story. Clark re-shared Marshall's post as well to share her appreciation.
Clark joined the WNBA with Indiana Fever this summer, while Marshall went undrafted and announced her retirement from basketball shortly after. She's now pursuing a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy at UNC, Chaphill.
