On Monday, La La Anthony shared a fun throwback post on Instagram that featured her son Kiyan Anthony showing off his rapping skills. The son of former NBA star Carmelo Anthony and La La is making a name for himself as a top high school basketball player. He ranks among the best shooting guards in the class of 2025 per ESPN. Kiyan Anthony joined Long Island Lutheran High School after transferring from Christ the King High School in 2023.
The video shows Kiyan sitting beside his mom and rapping to “Never Could” by Mr. Chicken featuring DJ Swill B.
La La Anthony encouraged followers to check out the other photos she shared captioned the post:

Kiyan Anthony’s basketball journey is just as exciting as his rapping. He’s received offers from several major Division I programs, including Indiana, Michigan, Florida State, Illinois and Tennessee. He’s also shown interest in Syracuse, where his dad won the 2003 national championship. Kiyan visited Syracuse in Oct. 2023, posing in a team jersey alongside his father and meeting coach Adrian Autry.

“Bronny is an inspiration,” she told TMZ. “He's in the NBA right now. He's crushing it and making history playing with his dad."
La La emphasized how Bronny has carved out his path:
