Cavinder twins shine as Carson Beck transfers to Miami

Carson Beck officially left the Georgia Bulldogs on Friday and joined the Miami Hurricanes just a day after entering the transfer portal. The move not only changes the landscape of Miami football but also brings him closer to his girlfriend, Hanna Cavinder.

Beck, who chose the transfer portal over entering the 2025 NFL draft, will represent the Canes just like Cavinder, a player on their women's basketball team. She celebrated the news and posted her approval on X.

"It’s a great day to be a Miami Hurricane," Cavinder tweeted.

She followed the X post with a TikTok video of her and Beck making the iconic "U" hand gesture, set to the Hurricanes anthem, "It’s All About the U."

The Cavinder twins, Hanna and Haley, are widely known for their basketball skills and their various NIL deals. Their name, image and likeness ventures have made them some of the most recognizable college athletes, with multiple sponsorships tied to their success on and off the court.

Beck, now part of this dynamic Miami family, has reportedly signed a one-year $4 million, further enhancing the university’s athletic reputation.

Beck is expected to take over as Miami’s starting quarterback, replacing Cam Ward, who is heading to the NFL. Despite missing Georgia’s College Football Playoff loss to Notre Dame due to elbow surgery, Beck had a strong 2024 season, throwing for 3,485 yards, 28 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.

Meanwhile, Cavinder continues to make waves with Miami, which has an 11-5 record. In her final year of college eligibility, she is averaging 7.7 points, 2.8 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game.
