In Pics: Miami's Haley and Hanna Cavinder surprise Hurricanes teammates by gifting sneakers for Christmas

Haley and Hanna Cavinder continue to spread joy during the holiday season. During the ongoing Christmas break, the Cavinder twins enjoyed a special family reunion in which they visited a high-end restaurant in Fort Lauderdale, and surprised their parents with a black golf cart, which they nicknamed the "Cavinder Cruiser".

Earlier today, the Cavinder twins believed it was time to spread the festive cheer among their teammates at Miami. They decided to make the most of their massive NIL deal with Under Armour to gift each of their Hurricanes teammates with a new pair of sneakers made by the shoe giant.

The twins shared a story on Instagram to show off their gift for their teammates, admitting the sneakers they gifted were their favorites from the wide range of shoes sold by Under Armour.

"Gifted the team our fav sneakers for Christmas," the Cavinder twins wrote on Instagram.

The twins shared another story soon after, showing off 15 pairs of sneakers stacked together with a March Madness poster featuring themselves in the background.

The Hurricanes have made a strong start to the 2024-25 season, winning 11 of their 12 games so far. Prior to the Christmas break, they traveled to Hawaii to take part in the Maui Classic and scored impressive victories over Nevada and Oregon State in the span of 24 hours.

Haley and Hanna Cavinder enjoy strong return to college basketball

After staying away from college basketball for an entire year, Hanna Cavinder announced her return to Miami for the 2024-25 season this April. This prompted Haley to decommit to TCU and join her twin sister in Coral Gables, where they will play out their final season of eligibility.

The Cavinder twins have slotted straight into the starting five at Miami this year, and have made a solid return to college basketball. So far, Hanna Cavinder has averaged 7.8 points, 3.2 rebounds and 4.3 assists, while Haley has averaged 18.3 ppg, 7.7 rpg and 4.9 apg.

Miami's first game after the Christmas break will also be their first ranked matchup of the season. They will face No. 17 North Carolina in their conference opener, which will take place on Sunday at 4:00 p.m. ET.
