Paige Bueckers took a break from her classes and basketball practice as she attended Sunday's Kansas City Chiefs vs Los Angeles Chargers game in SoFi Stadium, LA. The UConn was famously on a 'world tour' during the summer as she flew coast to coast, supporting her former Huskies teammates in the WNBA and other sportspersons.
Bueckers posted pictures from the game to her Instagram. She opted for a casual look of shots and an oversized T-shirt from the brand, 'Better Days LA'.
"Better days🤍," Bueckers wrote in the caption.
Fans on social media made viral jokes about Paige Bueckers' cross-country journey, attending sporting events everywhere. The guard joined in the fun, promising that she was not missing her classes.
"Yes I am at a sporting event in LA & yes I will be in class tmr AM in Connecticut," she wrote on X.
She later posted an Instagram story on Monday, showing that she made it to her classes on time.
Paige Bueckers is a fifth-year senior with the UConn Huskies. She graduated in May with a bachelor's degree in human development & family sciences and is now enrolled in graduate classes.
Fan challenges Paige Bueckers to the ultimate sporting event appearance challenge
Apart from basketball, tennis was one of the sports that Paige Bueckers attended during the summer. She supported American players Coco Gauff and Frances Tiafoe in the US Open.
Now, a fan has challenged Bueckers on X to make the ultimate trip to Beijing, where Gauff will be playing against Naomi Osaka on Tuesday in Round 16 at the China Open. Bueckers went along with the fan and predicted a possible schedule for a timely return.
"I think I could make it back by practice on Thursday 🤫," she wrote.
With all of her appearances at various games, Paige Bueckers was asked to name her dream sporting event, and she said:
"Dream sporting event is definitely the Olympics. I wanted to go to Paris but it just would have been too much traveling so, definitely I would say the Olympics."
Bueckers just has to wait four more years for this dream to come true, as she is one of the potential names circulating for the Team USA roster at the 2028 LA Olympics. The guard is set to play her final college second next month and will move to the WNBA in 2025. She is the projected No. 1 pick for the draft in April.
