The Iowa Hawkeyes' Jada Gyamfi reacted to pictures of guard Lucy Olsen, who was selected to play for the USA's 3x3 Nations League Team, on Instagram. Gyamfi reshared Olsen's carousel of snaps in which she posed in a Team USA jersey.

Lucy also went head-to-head against Team USA's primary 3x3 squad which will play in the 2024 Paris Olympics. The pictures were from the game that took place at the WNBA Skills Competition on All-Star weekend earlier this month in Phoenix.

Gymafi wrote:

"Miss Americana."

Team USA won against the Nations League squad 19-16. Olsen and the Nations League team played in the FIBA 3x3 Nations League America Conference from July 22-28 in Mexico.

Lucy Olsen and her Team USA mates won on her clutch shot 21-19 over Mexico.

Iowa HC Jan Jensen talked about Lucy Olsen's unique abilities

Lucy Olsen transferred from Villanova to the Iowa Hawkeyes following the departure of Caitlin Clark to the WNBA. The team needed a player who would match the skill of Clark and help the team continue its superstar run. The former Wildcats guard averaged 23.3 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.9 steals, making her the third-highest scorer in the NCAA Division I.

Iowa coach Jan Jensen was satisfied with her find and talked about Olsen in an interview with Hawkeyes Wire:

"I told her the other day, 'Gosh, I wish I could have coached you for years.' And that just was a genuine (statement). She just is, we would have recruited her. She just is selfless, she's fun, eager, just a really neat kid. She's so unique. We haven't had anyone like her for a while.
"She's more midrange, definitely pass-first and she just has a nice balance about her. But her personality is really golden, and I'm just really fortunate that we got her. To start with her experience, her confidence …she's got enough moxie, but enough humility. She balances it."

Olsen will gear up with the Hawkeyes to play in the upcoming season of women's college basketball.
