Iowa women's basketball head coach Jan Jensen, along with former head coach Lisa Bluder, and other Iowa staff went to support their former Iowa stars Caitlin Clark and Kate Martin in the WNBA. The two faced each other in the game between the Indiana Fever and Las Vegas Aces on Tuesday at T-Mobile Arena.

Jensen took to Instagram to share a few snippets from the game featuring Clark and Martin.

Here's a look at some of the Instagram stories posted by Jensen:

In the game, Kate Martin had the better of Catilin Clark as Las Vegas defeated Indiana 88-69. However, individually, Clark was a better player on the court as she grabbed 13 points and 11 assists. Whereas, Martin could only manage to secure one rebound in 11 minutes of play.

The two former Iowa teammates have been best friends since college and their relationship has remained the same since entering the league this season. Caitlin Clark was the No. 1 overall pick by the Fever in the WNBA draft while Martin was the No. 18 overall pick by the Aces.

Jan Jensen also posted a story when Clark and Martin were entering the court together, calling them "besties":

"Besties that are now in the best league in the world," she wrote in one of her stories.

The National Player of the Year in 2024, Clark has started in every game for the Fever so far, averaging 16.0 ppg, 5.7 rpg and 7.1 apg while shooting 39.1%. On the other hand, Martin has not been a starter, averaging 3.6 ppg, 2.1 rpg and 1.1 apg so far.

The level of basketball when playing with the top players of the globe is undoubtedly higher than college basketball. As a result, the two former Iowa stars are still settling into the professional game, especially Clark, after averaging 31.6 ppg in college last season.

Jan Jensen gives a shout-out to Caitlin Clark, Megan Gustafson and Kate Martin

Along with Clark and Martin, another former Iowa star, Megan Gustafson, who transitioned to the WNBA back in 2019, is also a part of the Las Vegas Aces. Jensen gave a shout-out to all three in her Instagram story while cheering them on from the stands:

"Watching our two fave WNBA teams and our fave WNBA players. We love you Megan, Caitlin & Kate," she wrote in a story.

Jan Jensen will be Iowa's head coach for the first time next season after serving as assistant head coach since 2000.

The Indiana Fever (8-13) will look to bounce back after their defeat to the Aces when they host the New York Liberty (17-3) at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Saturday. Meanwhile, the Las Vegas Aces (11-6) will hope to continue its five-game winning streak as they host the Washington Mystics (5-15) at Michelob ULTRA Arena on Thursday.
