There are no indications that Aneesah Morrow will not be playing in tonight's matchup between No. 5 LSU and Stanford. That means fans can expect her to take the court tonight as the senior guard will be looking to continue her fine form to start the season.

The two teams play tonight at 8 p.m. CT in the Pete Maravich Assembly Center. Their matchup forms part of the SEC/ACC Challenge, and it's the third meeting between the two programs. Their last matchup saw LSU win 62-59 in the 2006 Elite Eight, a game sealed by a charge drawn by Seimone Augustus, now an LSU assistant coach.

Aneesah Morrow’s impact for the Tigers

Aneesah Morrow leads the country in double-doubles (8) and rebounds (13.0 per game), earning USBWA Starting Five of the Week and SEC Co-Player of the Week honors for her performances.

Morrow is also averaging 18.2 ppg while shooting an impressive 52.5% from the field. The Tigers are undefeated this season with a 9-0 record, largely thanks to Morrow's efforts.

LSU ranks third nationally in scoring at 93.9 ppg and second in rebounding with 51.9 rpg. Flau'jae Johnson leads the team with 22.3 ppg, while Shayeann Day-Wilson averages 4.6 assists, and Sa'Myah Smith contributes 1.4 bpg.

Stanford Cardinal, with a 7-1 record, leads the nation in three-point shooting at 44.0%. Nunu Agara averages 17.5 ppg, supported by standouts Elena Bosgana and Brooke Demetre. The team excels with disciplined basketball, boasting a 1.42 assist-to-turnover ratio.

Speaking about the threat that Stanford poses, LSU coach Kim Mulkey highlighted their perimeter threat.

"You better stop the dribble-drive and the kickout for the threes," she said on Thursday. "I don’t think they’re as big in the paint as they have been in the past, but we’ve got our hands full with them."

With that in mind, LSU’s rebounding edge and defensive intensity will be crucial, which means that Aneesah Morrow will be a vital cog in their machine if they're to secure the win tonight.

Their next outing will be against Grambling State on Sunday, Dec. 8.
