Alabama A&M guard Shelomi Sanders has a healthy status going into tonight's game against North Alabama. She has no injuries listed, having played in all eight games this season. The confirmation of her participation in the matchup will be known before the 7 p.m. ET tip-off.
Sanders is in her third collegiate season, with previous stints at Jackson State and Colorado. She transferred to Alabama A&M in April. In August, Sanders revealed her reason for leaving Colorado.
"For me, I would say, yeah, last year during the beginning where I just came home sad every day," Shelomi Sanders said on a livestream. "I was sad and mad like every day.
“I don’t want to say anything too bad. It just wasn’t good energy. It wasn’t good vibes. There wasn’t enough being poured into me as a player and young lady. If I didn’t leave when I did, I promise you I would’ve quit.”
