MiLaysia Fulwiley is not eligible for the 2025 WNBA draft. She is progressing through her sophomore year with the defending NCAA champion South Carolina Gamecocks.

According to rules pertaining to the WNBA draft, NCAA players must be graduating as seniors or turn 22 years old the year of the draft, whether their birthday is before or after. If they have any remaining eligibility, for whatever reason, they must renounce their eligibility.

In Fulwiley's case, she won't meet the years in school or the age requirement. She'll turn 20 on April 21 and will have only played two years of college ball, needing to fulfill all of her eligibility.

When she declares for the draft, it won't be until the 2027 edition. Her talent and potential should give her a chance to be picked in the first round if she is believed by WNBA scouts to have what it takes to be picked.

How MiLaysia Fulwiley has performed for South Carolina

MiLaysia Fulwiley has proven herself to be a capable spark plug off the bench in her second season with the Gamecocks.

Playing in all 12 of South Carolina's games to begin the 2024-25 season, Fulwiley is averaging 10 points, 2.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.0 steals per game. She is shooting 41%, including 24.3% from beyond the arc, having reached double-digits in scoring five times with her season high being 23 points against Coppin State on Nov. 14.

Her solid production off the bench has assisted the No. 2 Gamecocks (11-1). They average 80.5 ppg on 46.5% shooting, including 35.2% from downtown, having a dominant winning margin of 25.3 points against opposing teams.

Their aggressiveness on the glass and on defense has only elevated their ability to have massive leads against opponents. They crash the boards frequently, grabbing 42.8 rpg while making 16.7 stocks (steals and blocks) on the defensive side of the ball.

Four players average double-digits in scoring for South Carolina, Fulwiley included. Leading the way is Te-Hina Paopao, who is putting up 11.3 ppg, 2.4 apg and 2.3 rpg. Joyce Edwards comes next with 10.6 ppg and 5.2 rpg, while Chloe Kitts provides 10.1 ppg and 7.8 rpg.

MiLaysia Fulwiley and the Gamecocks will come out of the Christmas break with a matchup against visiting Arlington Baptist at the Foster Pavilion on Friday at 7 p.m. ET.
