ESPN ranked Kiyan Anthony, son of NBA legend Carmelo Anthony, as the best high school hooper in New York in late July. He also holds a four-star designation and ranks 40th in his class nationwide.

On Monday, Kiyan discussed his college offers and the hype around his name on episode two of "SloaneKnows: NEXT" on YouTube. The show's host, Sloane, asked the 6-foot-5 guard how it feels to be considered the No. 1 player in New York.

"It's a lot. It's a blessing cause, it's just all the hard work I put in, and seeing everybody around me that supported me, just cause now I'm No. 1 ranked," Kiyan said. "People have been supporting me, so now that it's just established. It means a lot cause I work. I work for hard for it." [Time Stamp - 02:07]

After ESPN unveiled the ranking, Kiyan Anthony's mom La La shared a heartfelt note of pride on her Instagram story.

"The hard work and dedication this kid puts in is like nothing I've ever seen before BUT what's most important is he's humble & kind & grateful. Love you to the moon and back! I'll forever be ur #1 fan @kiyananthony," La La wrote.

Kiyan holds offers from six different colleges, which he narrowed down, including Syracuse, Rutgers, Ohio State, USC, Florida State and Auburn.

Kiyan Anthony reveals his biggest role model on and off the court

Kiyan Anthony, the son of former New York Knicks star Carmelo, will play his final year of high school this coming season before heading to college.

During his appearance on "SloaneKnows: NEXT," Kiyan spoke about his role models and biggest inspirations.

"On the court, I would say my dad cause he played for 20-plus years, and he knows the game, and I listen to him and stuff like that," Kiyan said. "Off the court, I'll definitely say my mom, 'cause all the non-basketball related stuff she helps me with, so that would be my role model off to court."

Kiyan paid a visit to Syracuse and Florida State in October last year and will visit the remaining schools this fall. Next month, he has scheduled trips to USC and Rutgers and is planning to go to Ohio State after that. Once he completes his college visits, Kiyan will make a final decision before the new basketball season starts.
