“It’s all new to me”: UConn star Paige Bueckers shares her experience after attending fashion week

UConn standout Paige Bueckers added another notch to her summer adventure by attending the 'Who Decides War' show at New York Fashion Week. She made the most out of her offseason break by going to several major sports events, including the ESPYs, US Open and WNBA All-Star game.

On Saturday, the 6-foot point guard was spotted at the NYFW show wearing a camel-colored sweater featuring artistic graphic prints on both sleeves. She completed the look with edgy, text-covered denim and white sneakers.

Paige Bueckers shared her excitement about her first fashion week experience with the French magazine "Marie Claire."

"Hi' Marie Claire, it's Paige Bueckers and we're here at the 'Who Decides War' show. I'm having a great time it's my first fashion week so I'm very excited to be here. It's all new to me. I'm learning," Paige said.

"Stepping outside my comfort zone, continue to find who I am in fashion, exploring my masculine side, my feminine side and just mixing both, and just continue to get comfortable in my own skin and finding different ways to express myself."

Who Decides War (WDW), a global streetwear-centric designer clothing brand, made a strong impact at New York Fashion Week. They hosted a special gallery retrospective that combined fashion and art with striking visual elements in the two-day event.

The internet went frenzy after a picture of UConn guard Paige Bueckers training with NBA icons Steph Curry and Jaylen Brown surfaced. Bueckers, a projected top pick in the 2025 WNBA draft, known for her rigorous workout, connected with the Golden State Warriors and the Boston Celtics stars on Saturday morning.

Paige was accompanied by her Connecticut teammate Azzi Fudd as the four trained at the NBPA training facility in New York.

Paige Bueckers meeting with Curry amid Valkyries rumors led people to believe it might just be more than a coincidence. The two-time Big East player could play for the newly formed franchise, Warriors' sister club Golden State Valkyries next season.

The UConn star stirred up excitement among the Bay Area locals in May when the Valkyries revealed their name, logo, and colors. Bueckers joined in, sharing the team's post on X and saying, "Prettiest colorway ever," which added to the growing talk about a possible connection. She will play her final year of college basketball this coming season before heading to the WNBA.
