John Calipari has faced criticism from fans who want the team to succeed. This negativity has ramped up in the past few years because of Kentucky's missed chances at March Madness.

Calipari's decision to leave Lexington in April further increased fan animosity towards him, but it looks like his daughter, Erin, has had enough.

On Friday, she addressed the issue on X, formerly Twitter, writing:

"The best thing about Twitter is that "Calipari" is almost always trending in sports for me. At any time I can just click it and see a list of tweets complaining about how bad my dad (a hall of fame coach) is at his job. A good reminder to do what you do for you and not others."

In the run to the NCAA Tournament last year, the calls from BBN for Calipari to be fired gained traction as the Wildcats had some close calls. Losing in the first round of March Madness as a No. 2 seed did not help either.

John Calipari addressed the criticisms after losing in the first round of the SEC Tournament, for the second straight time.

"When we're going into this or any other tournament, (you say), 'We gotta win this. You gotta play your best,'" Calipari said. "That's how you want me to coach? Now there are people (who) do that. (They say), 'If they don't do this, and they don't do that.' They're not fans of this program. Or these kids."
"What they're trying to do is put more pressure on them so they don't play well, so they can double down on what they've said. I don't buy into it. My job is to get them fresh and loose, and then be focused and locked down when we practice. And then let's see where it goes."

John Calipari prepares for another shot at greatness with Arkansas

John Calipari won his last national championship with the Wildcats in 2012. While he may have missed it since then with Kentucky, the coach is now looking to lead the Arkansas Razorbacks to success.

Calipari's arrival saw most players leave the team and he has rebuilt his roster with transfer portal additions. The experienced coach will start afresh and potentially lead the Razorbacks to a title.
