Johni Broome had another efficient outing as the Auburn Tigers cruised through the Monmouth Hawks, 87-58 on Monday, Dec. 30. Broome posted another double-double which gave his team their 12th win of the campaign.

Broome played 22 minutes, finishing with 14 points, 11 rebounds, four assists, a steal and three blocks. He was 50% on his field goal percentage, going 4-for-8, and had six additional markers coming from the free throw line.

Right from tipoff, the senior was a force on the glass by corralling down rebounds. After his first make from the charity stripe, Broome would settle in his role inside and eventually score his first layup from a Chad Baker-Mazara feed, which translated into a completed and-one play at the 13:11 mark of the first quarter.

The 6'10 Broome then played out the rest of the first period, collecting more boards for his squad. His contributions proved to be important for the SEC team to pull away as Broome would then rack up an assist, before converting consecutive lay-ins that put Auburn up by 18, 46-28, to finish the first half.

Heading into the second half, the 22-year-old had an assist right from the get-go and followed it up with a jumper at the 17:49 mark. As Broome kept fighting for position in the paint, he found himself on the free-throw line on multiple occasions.

His two made freebies at the 12:53 mark ballooned Auburn's lead to 28, 68-40, as after a couple of successful defensive plays, Broome would rest for the remainder of the period. His teammates would pick up the slack en route to the Tigers' 29-point beatdown of the Hawks, 87-58.

Here are Johni Broome's full statline from Monday's win over Monmouth.
