Jon Scheyer's Duke Blue Devils defeated the Incarnate Word Cardinals 72-46 on Tuesday to move to 8-2 on the season. Freshman Isaiah Evans had an impressive game for Duke, scoring 14 points in 19 minutes.
Evans played a key role in the win, as he shot 4-of-6 from the field and knocked down 4-of-6 from beyond the arc. The 19-minute splot is the most Evans has played in a game so far. He previously played a high of 17 minutes in Duke's win over Seattle U on Nov. 28.
After the win against UIW, college basketball fans on X/Twitter did not hold back in expressing their outrage over Duke's decision to not play Evans enough earlier this season.
Here are some of the reactions from fans on X:
"Isaiah Evans really our best shooter and coach had him sitting!" one fan wrote.
"Isaiah Evans the truth. Criminal that he was getting DNPs. Duke has 2 losses they don’t have to have," another fan said.
"Jon scheyer on the Duke bench realizing the team is better when he plays five star Isaiah Evans," a fan added.

"Scheyer’s management of Isaiah Evans is f**kin horrible," another fan wrote.
"How in the world do you not play Isaiah Evans in those previous games where he had DNP’s?" one fan asked.
"Jon Scheyer won’t be winning nothing this year if Isaiah Evans and Darren Harris don’t get more playing time," one fan added.
