Juan Soto rocked the sports world when he signed his $765 million contract with the New York Mets. It inspired LSU star Flau'jae Johnson, who has an NIL value of $1.5 million per On3.

Johnson talked about Soto's contract on her "Best of Both Worlds with Flau'jae Johnson" podcast Dec. 13, saying what she plans to do when she has children in the future.

"Know what I can do with $700 million? If I had a kid, baby, we are swinging baseball bats out the womb. I'll tell you that right there, catching gloves on, baseball in hand, 700 M's to play baseball."
"I'm not gonna force my kid to play sports, but I'm gonna nudge 'em a little bit like, you gotta play Little League. You're gonna play all the sports until, like, you get a little older and realize, okay, I really don't want to. You know, you can't really force kids to do something they won't want to do, but I'ma nudge 'em."

Flau'jae Johnson recently revealed first shoe with PUMA

NIL continues to be on Johnson's radar. She added an equity stake in the women's basketball league Unrivaled, but she also revealed her first pair of shoes.

Having signed an NIL deal with PUMA, Johnson launched her player-exclusive shoe named "All-Pro NITRO" on Dec. 5 via her YouTube channel. However, she is unable to wear it during LSU games because the team is not sponsored by PUMA.

She joins Paige Bueckers as women's basketball players who revealed their first pair of shoes after getting NIL deals. Bueckers collaborated with Nike on her shoe.

Johnson has played a key role in No. 5 LSU getting off to a 12-0 start this season. She is averaging 21.1 points, 5.7 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 1.7 steals, and 1.1 blocks per game on 53.1% shooting from the field and 41.7% from beyond the arc.

Coming off an 85-57 victory over Louisiana on Sunday, Johnson and No. 5 LSU will next play Seton Hall at the Mohegan Sun Arena on Dec. 17 at 6 p.m. ET.
