Kylie Feuerbach and the Iowa Hawkeyes enjoyed a trip to Mexico to take part in the Cancun Challenge during this week. Earlier today, the redshirt senior took to social media to share some of her favorite moments from their overseas trip, where she bonded with her fellow teammates.
Feuerbach shared a post on Instagram featuring a few snaps from her trip to Mexico, which included a picture of herself enjoying the sunset with Callie Levin, Taylor Stremlow and the Hawkeyes' biggest addition during the offseason, Lucy Olsen.
Feuerbach also shared some breathtaking snaps of her surroundings, and seemed to enjoy the company of her Hawkeyes teammates. Her post immediately caught the attention of ex-Iowa center Monika Czinano, who was quick to show some love for the talented guard with a kind comment on Instagram. Czinano's comment flattered Feuerbach, who made it clear in her response to Czinano.
"Just dropped to my knees in a Walmart," wrote Czinano.
To which Feuerbach replied, "@monika_czinano PLEASEEEE."
Czinano was one of the top performers for Iowa during her college basketball career, forming a special friendship with Caitlin Clark during her time at the Hawkeyes. In her senior season, she earned unanimous First-Team All-Big Ten honors, averaging 17.1 points and 6.5 rebounds to play a key part alongside Clark in their run to the NCAA Tournament final.
Following the end of her senior season, the Los Angeles Sparks made her a third-round pick in the 2023 WNBA draft.
Kylie Feuerbach also showered with love from her current teammates
Besides Czinano, Stremlow, Levin and Olsen also enjoyed Feuerbach's post, showing love for their experienced teammate with kind comments.
"Cancun coded," wrote Stremlow.
"Roomie slayyy," wrote Levin.
"DAW LOVE YA KY," wrote Olsen.
Kylie Feuerbach has made a decent start to the 2024-25 with the Hawkeyes, starting all eight of their opening games so far. Across those games, she has averaged 6.6 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.9 steals, putting in immense efforts at both ends of the court.
No. 22 Iowa have started a new era in their women's basketball program very well, winning all eight of their games this season under new head coach Jan Jensen. They will be keen to maintain their momentum in Brooklyn, when they face the Tennesee Volunteers in the Women's Champions Classic on Dec. 7 at 7:00PM ET.
