Kiki Iriafen delivered a stellar all-around performance as No. 4 USC defeated Nebraska 75-55 on Wednesday, marking the Trojans' ninth consecutive victory.

The Trojans' star contributed 14 points, six rebounds, three assists and a block, continuing her streak of scoring in double figures in all 14 of USC's games this season. Iriafen also bounced back impressively after being limited by foul trouble in USC’s previous matchup against No. 23 Michigan, where she still managed 18 points in just 21 minutes.

USC’s stars dominated throughout the game, with JuJu Watkins and Iriafen combining for 40 points in the 20-point victory. The Trojans showcased their depth, as 13 players logged at least two minutes of action, with eight contributing to the scoreboard.

For the second consecutive game, USC used a strong second-half performance to pull away. The team outscored Nebraska 36-21 after halftime, following a similar effort against Michigan, where it secured a 20-point second-half advantage.

With their 13-1 record (3-0 Big Ten), the Trojans have achieved their first 3-0 start in conference play since the 2013-14 season.

USC Perseveres to Extend Winning Streak

Despite Nebraska staying competitive throughout the first half and the early part of the third quarter, USC ultimately took control, shutting down the Cornhuskers to secure a decisive victory.

The Trojans checked off several milestones in their 20-point win. This marked their ninth 20-point victory of the season and the seventh game in which they recorded 20 or more assists. USC also maintained a slight edge on the boards, outrebounding Nebraska 27-25. Impressively, the Trojans remain undefeated at 12-0 when outrebounding their opponents.

The defense played a crucial role in the win. USC tallied a 10-5 advantage in steals, a 7-3 edge in blocks and forced 21 fouls and 18 turnovers. This was also the 10th game this season where the Trojans held their opponents to fewer than 60 points.

Nebraska struggled offensively, particularly in the second half. USC’s defensive trio of Clarice Akunwafo, Rayah Marshall and Kiki Iriafen limited All-Big Ten center Alexis Markowski to just seven points on 3-for-11 shooting, with only two points in the first half. However, Nebraska’s Britt Prince and Logan Nissley combined for 24 points, nearly half of the team’s total.

USC (13-1) will look to continue its impressive run as it travels to face Rutgers on Sunday.
