Hailey Van Lith is reaping the rewards of her move away from Kim Mulkey's LSU. The TCU star exploded for a season-high 27 points on Sunday, leading the Horned Frogs to an emphatic 86-46 victory over the Idaho State Bengals.

Van Lith continued her stellar play since leaving the Tigers, helping the No. 19 Horned Frogs improve their unbeaten record to 6-0.

Hoops fans on X/Twitter blasted Mulkey and the Tigers for wasting Van Lith's talent at LSU last season.

Below are some of the reactions:

"Never selling my stock, Kim got blood on her hands."
"It was never her. She was out of position and in a bad system," another fan tweeted.
"Respectfully she had no business being a 3rd/4th option. Happy she’s found a home at TCU but going to LSU was a huge mistake," one user claimed.

Here are some more tweets:

"Going to LSU was such a mistake for her," another fan chimed in.
"LSU just wasn’t a good fit. She been nice, one fan pointed out."
"She tryna prove me wrong from what I said about her last year?, another fan posted."
"It would be nice if we could just forget whatever that was that happened with her at LSU, but the night & day difference from Louisville/now vs last year needs to be studied," one user claimed.
"Got outta LSU and went back to the basics. Let’s go HVL!, another fan tweeted."
"Change of scenery doing her some good, one fan shared."
"Getting away from LSU was a brilliant choice by HVL, another fan mentioned."
"Van Lith looks like a totally different player from last season at LSU, one user tweeted."
"She’s getting her confidence back after the mess she was in last year," another fan pointed out.

Hailey Van Lith rediscovers form with TCU after failed LSU experiment

Van Lith joined then-defending champions LSU in the 2023-24 season to form a super team with Angel Reese, Aneesah Morrow and Flau'jae Johnson.

The move didn't pan out, though, for Van Lith, who struggled with the role shift. She averaged just 11.6 points, 3.6 assists and 2.4 rebounds per game with the Tigers last season.

Van Lith has found her groove back with TCU, averaging 19.2 points, 7.0 assists, 5.7 rebounds and 2.3 steals per game this season.
