Lauren Betts continued her incredible run with the UCLA Bruins as she led the team to a 73-62 win over the Indiana Hoosiers on Saturday. The center finished with 25 points, 12 rebounds, three assists and two blocks on 12-for-16 shooting. With the win, the Bruins extended their undefeated streak to 15-0.

Excited fans stormed X (formerly Twitter) to share their thoughts on Betts' performance.

"Entry passes to the lost. Lauren Betts was a beast today. NPOY candidate," one fan wrote.
"Best player in college basketball rn on the women’s side," another wrote.
"Best big in college!" a fan commented
"A mf dawg ! Mad I ain’t bet on her again today," one wrote

Some fans broke down her performance and how her size is UCLA's biggest advantage. They also named Lauren Betts as the best choice for National Player of the Year.

"Her being so mobile at that size is literally unstoppable. There has to be a double team every time, or she’s gonna score😭," one fan commented.
"I’m convinced UCLA wins ever game against teams that don’t have a good enough big to stop her," another wrote.
"This is why when y’all say someone is NPOY easily I look cause “easily”? Hannah is leading rn imo but LB is right there at the top too," one fan wrote.

Lauren Betts comments on the physicality of Indiana players

Lauren Betts struggled a bit in the first half as she was double-teamed and forced turnovers. However, she found her groove after halftime. The center commented on it in the post-game press conference.

"They were obviously working really hard," Betts said (from 3:55). "I think the second half, I just focused on trying to get as deep as I possibly could on my seals. I thought they were doing a really good job of just pushing me out as much as they could."
"But, yeah, it definitely was a physical game today, but I think we figured out how to work around it."

Lauren Betts was not alone, as her teammates also stepped up. Kiki Rice had 12 points, seven rebounds, seven assists and two steals. Gabriela Jaquez finished with 11 points, six rebounds and three assists.

After a Sweet 16 run last season, Betts and the Bruins are aiming for their first national championship. Their next stop on the road trip is West Lafayette, where they take on Purdue this Tuesday.
