LeBron James' son, Bryce James, is preparing for his senior season at Sierra Canyon High School. On Monday, he threw the spotlight on his new teammate as he reposted updates about Jaizahn Lewis.
Joining Sierra Canyon for his high school freshman year, Lewis won MVP at the BCH Orientation. Bryce James shared this on his Instagram story and wrote:
"Pro (Jaizahn Lewis)"
Bryce James' summer was the least spectacular when compared with his other 2025 class prospects. He failed to make an impact on circuit basketball and his team, SFG, struggled to post wins.
As a three-star prospect, Bryce James is ranked at No. 148 by 247Sports. He has offers from Ohio State and Duquesne but has yet to make his final decision. Bryce is predicted to be a one-and-done player as well, just like his brother Bronny James.
In his scouting report, Adam Finkelstein of 247Sports wrote:
"Bryce needs to be given time and space to run his own race though. He may not be the dynamic athlete or playmaker some expect at first, but he is a fundamentally sound player with solid perimeter size and a good early skill-set.
He possesses clear shooting potential with naturally soft touch, compact release, and the ability to make both threes and pull-ups. His left hand is advanced for his age and he also has a good early understanding of the game. Physically, he has a solid build for an underclassman, but is still just growing into his body a bit and so far from a finished product."
However, time is closing in on the guard and he should be making his college decision in October/November.
Bryce James shows off football skills
Although Bryce James is a good basketball player, it seems he might be decent in football as well. On Saturday, Overtime shared a video of Bryce practicing his passing skills, with the caption reading:
"Bryce James could be a QB tbh 👀,"
Even if he were to actually consider football, Bryce James would still be following in his father LeBron James' footsteps. During his time at St. Vincent-St. Mary High School, LeBron was a wide receiver and recorded 100 catches, more than 2,000 yards and 23 touchdowns in his two seasons.
King James was Ohio's No. 1-ranked football prospect in 2003 and was described as a "readymade" NFL wide receiver. He was also named a "taller, slower version of Randy Moss."
