LeBron James' son Bryce James' teammate at Sierra Canyon School, Christopher Nwuli, has announced his transfer to Dynamic Prep in Texas. Bryce James reacted to the news of Nwuli's departure from the California high school program.
Nwuli, a 4-star prospect and Rutgers commit, had been part of the Sierra Canyon squad that also featured LeBron's eldest son, Bronny James.
On Thursday, news broke of Nwuli transferring to Dynamic Prep for his senior high school season. Bryce James reshared an Instagram post by @kyledoirondesign which featured graphic art of Nwuli in a Dynamic Prep uniform.
"Go be great ❤️ @nwuli.christopher," Bryce wrote on his Instagram story, supportively reacting to his friends's big move.
Christopher Nwuli, the 61st-ranked recruit in the ESPN 2025 class, committed to the Rutgers Scarlet Knights back in October. The 6-foot-7 forward had offers from several other high-major programs, including Ohio State, UCLA, USC and Arizona State before pledging to Steve Pikiell's squad.
"I chose Rutgers because I love the way the coaching staff made me feel welcome, and the East Coast is where I want to be," Nwuli, who joined Sierra Canyon over the summer, told ESPN.
"I love the energy of the staff. Coach Pikiell breathes basketball, and he cares about his players. He is hard on his guys in practice and encourages them to be better players and people."
Bryce James picks his favorite NBA player beside his father
LeBron James's younger son, Bryce James, has revealed his favorite NBA player aside from his father. Bryce, who committed to Arizona on New Year's Day, answered several questions in a short clip posted by NBA Future Starts Now on TikTok.
"Besides my dad, I'll probably go with either Paul George or [Kevin Durant]," Bryce said. "I have met KD. It was good, man. He's one of the greatest players to do it. For me personally, KD's just one of the greatest scorers."
Bryce James also mentioned that his closest relationship with an NBA player is with 12-time All-Star Chris Paul.
"Close with Chris Paul, that’s basically my uncle," he said. [Dwyane] Wade, people that my dad are really close to, have a good connection with me. Chris Paul, just the IQ that he has, he just helps me elevate my game.
The 6-foot-4 guard, a three-star recruit, will be playing for Tommy Lloyd’s Wildcats in the Big 12 next season. Arizona made him an offer on New Year's Eve, and Bryce committed the next day, writing "100% committed" in his Instagram announcement.
