Was Gabbie Marshall selected in the 2024 WNBA Draft?
Gabbie Marshall ended her time at Iowa this year, but the guard was not invited to the 2024 WNBA Draft. She had no intention of becoming a pro and didm't declare for the draft.
She discussed this with the media in her last days with the Hawkeyes.
“I think in my other years I’ve just focused on improving in basketball, which I’m still doing but at the same time, I know I’m nearing the end of my basketball career forever. I’m just trying to soak in all the memories off and on the court.”
Marshall played in 166 games during her five-year career at Iowa. She boasts the most appearance in the Big Ten by any athlete in women’s college basketball. Nonetheless, she won’t be playing the game as a professional. She’s set to attend the University of North Carolina for her Master’s degree.
