"Love you": UConn's Paige Bueckers sends warm birthday message to "Lego Partna" Jana El Alfy via fun collage 

UConn star Paige Bueckers had a special message for her teammate who enjoys building Legos.

The standout guard shared a collage on her Instagram story on Friday. It included different pictures of Bueckers and her teammate Jana El Alfy. Bueckers also added a message for her as she turned 19 years old.

"Happy Birthday to my Lego Partna & 1/3 Romie. Love you EL ALFY"

El Alfy joined the Huskies in January 2023 but did not compete that season. Last season, she was redshirted as she was recovering from an Achilles injury.

The two are often seen on social media building vibrant Lego sets together. From cars, roses, houses, pyramids and the Eiffel Tower, Bueckers and El-Alfy along with Kamorea Arnold have shown their creations in different posts.

The UConn Huskies star has been busy this offseason as she attended WNBA games, soccer games and the 2024 New York Fashion Week shows. Her butterfly-inspired outfit from the Off-White show garnered a lot of attention from her fans.

After attending one fashion show on Monday, she was asked by a reporter what her biggest pet peeve is.

"People who don't pick up their trash after themselves," Bueckers said.

Paige Bueckers is one of the most recognizable faces in the college sports world. With her athletic prowess, she was able to put up strong numbers for the Huskies last year. Her on-court skills also allowed her to increase her NIL value as she has signed deals with brands like Nike, Crocs, StockX and Unrivaled among others.

With a NIL valuation of $1.4 million as per On3 Sports, Bueckers ranks second among women NIL earners in college athletics.

Bueckers is expected to declare for the WNBA draft after next season and is projected to be a top-five pick. The UConn Huskies are also one of the favorites to win the NCAA title.
