LSU women's basketball head coach Kim Mulkey uploaded a series of adorable pictures of her granddaughter, Sage Avery. The carousel post was uploaded to celebrate the birthday of her daughter's child.
Mulkey shared that Sage had visited the "happiest place on Earth" to celebrate her third birthday.
"Spending her special day at the 𝓗𝓪𝓹𝓹𝓲𝓮𝓼𝓽 𝓟𝓵𝓪𝓬𝓮 𝓸𝓷 𝓔𝓪𝓻𝓽𝓱! Happy 3rd Birthday Sage Avery!"
Kim Mulkey has two grandchildren from her daughter, Makenzie Fuller. Sage was born on Oct. 10, 2021, and her brother, Kannon Reid, in 2018. The two often attend LSU women's basketball games and support their grandmother.
Kim Mulkey reunited with former LSU star Angel Reese in a Chicago Sky game
The Lady Tigers head coach has been enjoying the off-season by attending WNBA games. Kim Mulkey showed support to former LSU star Angel Reese during a game between the Chicago Sky and the Washington Mystics on Jun. 6. Mulkey was seen hugging and interacting with Reese and former Baylor Bears player DiDi Richards.
The head coach shared a series of snaps with the caption:
"First night in D.C. did not disappoint! There’s nothing better than watching people you care about live out their dreams. Proud Coach!"
Reese shared that she is still in touch with her former coach and that Mulkey also reaches out to her family from time to time.
"She’ll support you no matter what. She’s like a mother to me. She calls me still, she checks in on me making sure I’m good. Checks in on my family, calls my grandma … I love Coach Mulkey,” Reese said.
After attending Reese's game, she also attended the Connecticut Sun vs. Dallas Wings game on Jun. 15 with her family.
Mulkey is in the process of adding talented recruits like Trinity Jones, Oliviyah Edwards and Kate Harpring to her squad. Though the team could not repeat their national championship last season, the team can aim for another title and stop Dawn Staley's Gamecocks from three-peating.
