LSU’s Flau'jae Johnson posts 3-word reaction as former Heisman winner Jayden Daniels pulls off major upset vs Lions

LSU junior guard Flau'jae Johnson chimed in on Twitter to react to Washington Commanders' quarterback Jayden Daniels leading his team to a playoff victory over the Detroit Lions. The Commanders pulled off the 45-31 upset over the NFC North champions on Saturday night at Ford Field.

Johnson posted a three-word reaction in awe of the former LSU star's performance.

"THAT KID JAYDEN," Flau'jae tweeted.

Daniels, who played for the Tigers last season before being selected by Washington in the 2024 NFL draft, had a tremendous game, throwing for 299 yards and two touchdowns while also rushing for 51 yards.

With the win, the Commanders advanced to the NFC championship game on Jan. 26, where they will face the winner of the Philadelphia Eagles vs. Los Angeles Rams game.

During the Thursday episode of her podcast Best of Both Worlds, Flau'jae Johnson expressed confidence in Daniels having a strong rookie season.

"Jaden Daniels — Rookie of the Year. He's going to the Super Bowl," Johnson said (6:57). "Y'all know I'm a little bit delusional, but let me tell you why I think this. He's going crazy, winning clutch games ... I knew his rookie season was gonna go just like this. I knew it."

The 2024 NFL season is nearing its conclusion, and the playoffs are in full swing. However, LSU's Flau'jae Johnson had a rather unique experience when it came to selecting her favorite NFL team.

In her podcast on Thursday, Johnson joked that she had a "curse" — whenever she decided to support a particular team, they would begin to struggle and lose games.

"Last year I didn't have an NFL team and my athletic trainer Barbie, she with New Orleans. So I'm like, okay, I live in New Orleans ... I'm going to be a Saints fan. Bro, soon as I turn to a Saints fan, they start losing," Flau'jae Johnson said (7:23).

"I hop on the Eagles, this when the Eagles were having like their 10-2 season, bro. Soon as I joined the Eagles, they started losing. I'm talking about, you remember they lost all them games back to back? That was me."

"So now Barbie, she started telling me to go for the opposite team 'cause she wanted the other win. She really thinks I'm cursing these teams, but I ain't going to lie, I started believing it a little bit."

Although Flau'jae Johnson, the leading scorer at LSU, hesitated to name her favorite NFL team for this season, she revealed her favorite players instead — Houston's CJ Stroud, Baltimore's Lamar Jackson, Washinton's Jayden Daniels and Philadelphia's Jalen Hurts.
