Last-Tear Poa is ready to return to another season of college basketball with the LSU Lady Tigers. In the previous season of women's college basketball, she sustained a concerning concussion in March during the semifinals of the SEC Tournament title game against the Ole Miss Rebels.
After being carted off the court, it was revealed that she was doing better and had recovered. Poa then made her comeback against the UCLA Bruins, where fans cheerfully welcomed her to the court.
The guard will hope to avoid injuries and make a greater impact in the upcoming season of college basketball. Last-Tear Poa showed her excitement by resharing an image of the updated roster of the Lady Tigers. The caption of the post read:
"Let's Gooooo!"
The 2024–2025 roster is packed with talents like Flau'jae Johnson, Sa'Myah Smith, Mjrackle Sheppard, Aneesah Morrow, and many more.
Though the Kim Mulkey-led squad was not able to win a national championship title in the previous season, where they lost against the Caitlin Clark-led Iowa Hawkeyes in the Elite Eight round of the NCAA tournament, the team will switch the process up for good and keep their aim clear and straight.
Last-Tear Poa was seen learning sign language from a fan
Before the start of the season, players often indulge in relaxing activities like going on vacation or spending time with their families. Some also engage in fun activities like taking part in camps for children who are interested in learning tips and tricks of basketball.
At one such camp, Last-Tear Poa was seen learning sign language from a fan on the hardwood floor. The two smiled at each other as the player signaled "Great work."
As a junior, Poa averaged 4.9 points, 1.5 rebounds, and 3.0 assists. Although she has not contributed much to the scoreboard, Last-Tear Poa is expected to make a better comeback and take on a bigger role alongside Flau'jae Johnson and other players of the team.
