The LSU star, Flau'jae Johnson, uploaded a post on Instagram to pay tribute to her late father, Jason Johnson, who was also known by his stage name 'Camoflauge.'

Falu'jae was always musically gifted as she has enjoyed writing and singing since she was a child. The hooper and rapper has appeared on reality shows to showcase her talents. When she was a child, people around her knew why she was inclined toward creating music.

Her father was a rapper who was well-known in Savannah, Georgia, for his hits like "Cut Friends" and "Laying My Stunt Down." He had signed a record deal with Universal Music but was murdered in Savannah by gunfire outside of the Pure Pain Records recording studio. He was only 21 years of age.

“Knowing my dad was involved in music made me want to pursue it even more,” she said, as per St. Joseph Candler.

Therefore, to remember her father and pay tribute to him, she uploaded a picture of her dad with the caption:

"Happy Fathers Day, Wish You Could See How Far I’ve Come 😞❤️"

Flau'jae Johnson also dedicated a special post for her stepfather

Flau'jae Johnson's mother, Kia Brooks, remarried Ameen Brooks. Despite not being related by blood, Brooks does not view Johnson as her stepdaughter and instead sees himself as a father figure.

“I don’t even call it stepdaddy because I feel like as a position of a dad and I married her mom, it’s like filling the gap,” Ameen Brooks told On3. “Kia’s father got murdered. My father got murdered. Even Flau’jae’s father was murdered. She never got to see her real father, so just filling in that gap to whatever Kia already had built with being a single-parent mother. That’s the most (important) part.”

Hence, to pay tribute to Brooks, she shared a series of pictures on her Instagram feed with the caption:

"I never got a chance to meet my dad. But I do know what it feels like to have a father.. You came into my life and showed me what a real man should be and I appreciate you for everything, especially taking care of my mama. Thank you for being my bestfriend🫶 .. Stand Up Guy #HappyFathersDay"

Thus, Flau'jae Johnson thanked her late father and her stepdad for their contribution to her life.

The LSU hooper will be back on the Tiger squad for another year of college basketball. In the meantime, Flau'jae Johnson will keep producing music to entertain her fans.
