On Friday, LSU star Flau'jae Johnson didn't fail to turn heads when she made a red-carpet appearance at the YouTube Music Leader and Legends gala in a stunning black satin dress. She dazzled once again on Sunday with another elegant look at the 2024 BET Awards.
The Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Year 2023, Flau'jae Johnson styled an all-green outfit at the BET Awards and caught the eyes of the hoops world. She posted the pictures on Instagram while promoting her new album.
"Sometimes You Gotta Pop Out N Yk The Rest ...BET AWARDS 2024, It's My Season. BEST OF BOTH WORLDS OUT NOW," she wrote in the caption.
American actress Taraji Henson hosted the event and lauded Johnson.
"Flau'jae, you, baby, you're special," Henson said. "You exemplify what sisterhood looks like. You get down in the studio, on the court. Yeah, you're a monster."
Johnson's new album "Best Of Both Worlds" came out on Friday and featured Lil Wayne, NLE Choppa, and 2Rare. She was also spotted with Choppa at the BET Awards' Celebrity All-Star Game.
The new face of LSU basketball next season, Flau'jae Johnson has been an influential figure after succeeding in multiple fields at the same time. With a ball in one hand, she has a mic in another and she revealed this as the reason behind the naming of her new album in an interview with Rolling Stone.
"This is me trying to show that I am the one that can do both," Johnson said. "I just want to shut people up, like – boom, get it? This is the new norm, this is the new precedent. I do two things. I really have the best of both worlds: basketball and music."
Flau'jae Johnson talks about her dream NIL deals
Flua'jae Johson has had many elite deals in the NIL market after currently valuing $1.2 million, according to On3. However, she made an appearance in a podcast with Overtime Maddy where she talked about her dream NIL deals.
"Probably be like a private jet NIL deal, free jet rides, a Target NIL deal, free Target stuff. I love Target. And for my last one, let me get a bit smarter, Apple," said Johnson. "I did something with Apple cash, but the Big Apple, if I get free Apple products for life, you know what I'm saying? It's a vibe."
Johnson averaged 14.9 ppg last season and will be looking to have an amazing season in the absence of former LSU star Angel Reese who went to the WNBA as the seventh pick by Chicago Sky.
