The fifth-ranked LSU Tigers continue to remain undefeated as they secured a 91-73 road win over the UIC Flames on Thursday evening. The Tigers dominated with Flau’jae Johnson scoring 23 points, while Aneesah Morrow had 19 points, 13 rebounds, three assists, four steals, and a pair of blocks to stuff the stat sheet.

The Tigers (14-0) once again looked dominant and should continue to do so with their ability to get to the free-throw line and draw contact. The Flames (2-6) continue to struggle but proved that they are able to compete against one of the deepest teams in the entire nation.

LSU vs. UIC Game Summary

The LSU Tigers had a great shooting performance. They shot 32-of-67 (47.8%) overall, 8-of-17 (47.1%) from beyond the arc, and 19-of-26 (73.1%) from the charity stripe. The Tigers were also able to dominate on the glass with 40 total rebounds (16 offensive, 24 defensive).

The team passed the ball extremely effectively with 20 assists on their 32 made baskets throughout the game. They were able to attack down low with 34 points in the paint and had 13 turnovers. Even their defense stepped up with eight steals and five blocks. They had a great two quarters defensively and played evenly in the other two to win this game.
