Miami Hurricanes' Haley Cavinder showed some love to former California Golden Bears guard Mia Mastrov on Sunday. The social media sensation, with over 678K followers on TikTok and 524K on Instagram, posted a carousel of pictures from her time in the Caribbean Islands.

"On island time," Mastrov captioned the post.

Haley Cavinder reacted to the photo dump in the comments, writing:

"So good."

The dump included photos of Mastrov enjoying some beach time on the shore and on a boat. She also included a video of her watching the fireworks show for New Year's celebrations.

Mia Mastrov played four seasons with the Golden Bears, averaging 3.0 points, 1.4 rebounds and 0.6 assists.

Haley Cavinder crosses career milestone as Miami struggles with losing streak

During Sunday's 68-64 loss to the Virginia Tech Hokies, Haley Cavinder crossed 1000 career rebounds. The guard's college career began at Fresno State, where she played for three years before transferring to Miami.

Cavinder led the Hurricanes to the Elite Eight in her senior year, averaging 12.2 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.5 assists. She took a year off to focus on business ventures before returning to Miami for the final college season. She is averaging 17.9 points, 7.7 rebounds and 4.8 assists.

Haley Cavinder and her twin, Hanna, gave the Hurricanes a great start to the season, as they won seven games straight. Miami recorded its first loss against Vanderbilt (88-70) on Dec. 4, but the team bounced back with a four-game winning streak.

However, since then, Cavinder and Co. have lost three games straight, starting with No. 17 North Carolina. During this disappointing run, Haley is averaging 16.6 points and 7.6 rebounds.

When the Cavinder twins joined the Hurricanes in April, there were hopes that they would repeat their successful run from their senior year. Miami coach Tricia Cullop attested to this, as she said in an interview with The Miami Herald in August:

“They both are so talented, have great work ethic, they have a great history here. I’m thrilled to have both of them back. They were both part of the Elite Eight experience, and that’s a goal for us."

If the Hurricanes hope to realize this dream, they must get their performances back on track. Their next game is scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 12, when they travel to New York to take on the Syracuse Orange.
