Haley Cavinder poked fun at her boyfriend, Jake Ferguson, in an Instagram post on Thursday. The Dallas Cowboys tight end joined Cavinder and her friends for a night out, and the guard made a video about it, writing:
"Besties boyfriend that always hangs around."
"He loves it🤞🏻🤞🏻," she added in the caption.
Ferguson and Cavinder have been in a relationship since last year. The Miami guard revealed how the two met in an interview in September.
"He DM’d me," Cavinder said. "He likes to say I DM’d him, but I didn’t. I was in Fort Lauderdale at the time. He has a place in Florida as well and we went on a date and just kinda met up — and then hung out for 10 days straight."
Ferguson took the relationship further when Cavinder revealed in a TikTok video that he had tattooed her initials on his ring finger.
Haley Cavinder and her twin, Hanna, take personal jabs at their love life and more
In a video posted on Thursday, the Cavinder twins joined the "Suspect Challenge" trend where they took digs at each other. Hanna Cavinder started things off by saying that Haley loves the transfer portal.
The guards first played for Fresno State before moving to Miami for their senior season. However, after a year's break, Haley Cavinder re-entered the transfer portal and chose to play for TCU in November 2023. She had already begun training with the team but chose the Hurricanes in April when Hanna announced her return to Coral Gables.
After a few more exchanges, things got personal, with Haley taking the first shot at Hanna and her relationship with the Georgia Bulldogs quarterback Carson Beck.
"Suspect's personality trait is her boyfriend."
This was followed by Hanna saying that Haley's personality trait was being a WAG and that she was a Cowboys fan only because of her relationship with Ferguson. The twins also joked about the reasons behind their return to college basketball, with one being a TikTok dancer (Hanna) and the other for NIL (Haley).
The digs got more personal when Haley said that her twin was the biggest curse in college football, pointing to Beck's recent slump. However, the reply came quickly, with Hanna claiming that Haley was the inventor of the "Cavinder Curse."
The Cavinder twins' fifth college season is off to a good start as they led the Hurricanes to win in the season opener against Stetson. After leading Miami to the Elite Eight in their senior year, Hanna and Haley Cavinder have similar expectations for this season.
