Fans reacted as Duke freshman Cooper Flagg had a forgettable outing in Duke's 92-69 win over the Incarnate Word Cardinals on Tuesday. He finished the night with just six points, eight rebounds and two assists while shooting 2-of-8 from the field.
Just a few nights before, fans were gushing about Flagg's performance after he delivered a back to back double-double, comparing him with the likes of former Duke star Zion Willamson, Tuesday's outing, though, left much to be desired from the 6-foot-9 forward.
College basketball fans on social media wasted no time roasting Flagg for his poor performance and questioning whether the hype surrounding him was warranted.
Here are a few reactions on X (formerly Twitter).
"I can’t deal with this bulls**t…. Cooper Flagg not getting 10 points is the most outrageous s**t I have ever seen bro," one fan wrote.
"We need a reboot on Cooper Flagg," another said.
"Cooper Flagg is definitely not what was advertised if I was new balance I want that money back right meow," a user added.
"Gotta be honest I didn’t watch a-lot of Cooper Flagg before Duke. His 3 point shot is a real issue. If this don’t improve big time before the NBA he’ll be limited," another tweeted.
Below are some more reactions:
"Cooper Flagg is 8-36 from 3 this year. Just awful," one fan pointed out.
"Cooper Flagg is 2-8 for just 6 points against a school I’ve never heard of," another chimed in.

Duke's Cooper Flagg recorded his third single-digit scoring output of the season on Tuesday against the Cardinals. He only scored six points — the lowest total of his college career so far.
Here are his full stats vs. Incarnate Word:

- 6 points
- 8 rebounds
- 2 assists
- 1 block
- 1 steal

Flagg didn't have the same impact as in his previous games against Aurbun and Louisville, where he scored 22 points and 20 points, respectively. His 3-point shooting remained a concern, as he missed all three attempts against Incarnate. It was his fourth game this campaign without making a 3-pointer.
Despite a poor night, Flagg is still averaging a very respectable 15.9 points, 8.9 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game for the Blue Devils. The No. 4 Duke (8-2) play the George Mason Patriots next week in Durham, NC.
