Bronny James has been dragged into some comments online after popular YouTuber and entrepreneur MrBeast joined the USC Trojans men's basketball team for a practice run on Friday. Fans were quick to call out the program for being "unserious".

Bronny played one year for USC before entering the draft and joining his dad and NBA superstar LeBron James, after he was selected with the No. 55 overall pick by the Los Angeles Lakers. Bronny's first season in the NBA hasn't gone extremely well, with the rookie spending most of his time in the G-League.

Check out some of the comments fans left on X/Twitter about Mr Beast visiting Bronny's alma mater, some citing his underwhelming play while at USC:

"As credible as Bronny was last year," one fan wrote.
"Lakers finna draft him," another commented.
"Most unserious CBB program since they gave Bronny an offer," a fan added.

Bronny James, from USC to the NBA

Bronny James played his freshman season during the 2023-24 season. He then announced that he'd be declaring for the NBA draft after his sole season with USC.

"I've had a year full of ups and downs, but it’s helped me grow as a person, student, and athlete," Bronny shared in an Instagram post. "Thank you to USC for an amazing freshman year, and I’m always grateful to my family, friends, doctors, athletic trainers, and fans for their support."

In 25 games for USC, Bronny averaged 4.8 ppg, 2.8 rpg and 2.1 apg, shooting 36.6% from the field and 26.7% from 3-point range. In July 2023, he suffered a sudden cardiac arrest while working out at USC and was later diagnosed with a congenital heart defect. By late November that year, he was cleared to fully return to basketball.

James has appeared seven times for the Los Angeles Lakers but is only averaging 2.6 minutes per game. In six games for their G-League affiliate the South Bay Lakers, however, he's averaging 14.7 ppg, 2.8 rpg, 2.8 apg and 1.3 spg on 37% shooting, dropping a game-high 30 points in his first road game against the Valley Suns on Dec. 12.
