Paige Bueckers is arguably one of the most talented athletes in women's college basketball. Touted as a top pick for next year's WNBA draft, the UConn star is keen to win the coveted national championship in her final season at Storrs, which has eluded her so far.

The Huskies are nearing the end of a nine-day break in their schedule for the holidays. During this time, Bueckers tried to discover a new talent in herself: singing. In a story shared by her teammate, Aubrey Griffin, some of the Huskies' roster gathered around for a small get together.

The last few seconds of the short clip uploaded by Griffin saw Bueckers, dubbed "Ms. Claus" by the UConn redshirt senior, try to recreate the high-pitched note from Mariah Carey's annual holiday season video, 'It's Time'.

While she hit her highest pitch possible, it's safe to say that hitting that note is better off being left to the five-time Grammy winner.

Griffin is yet to make an appearance for UConn this season as she continues to recover from a torn ACL injury she suffered this January.

Paige Bueckers and UConn suffer heartbreak before Christmas break

Paige Bueckers has been one of the standouts for UConn this season.

Paige Bueckers has shown why she earned a unanimous selection in AP's Preseason All-American Team, leading the Huskies from the front, averaging an impressive 20.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 2.0 steals, powering the Huskies to 10 wins in 12 games.

The Huskies went into the Christmas break with a bitter taste in their mouths, though, as they suffered a heartbreaking 72-70 defeat to the USC Trojans on Dec. 21.

Bueckers and her teammates did well to pull the game back into contention after trailing by 18 points, but Sarah Strong's failed 3-point attempt at the buzzer ensured that the Trojans came away victorious. Bueckers and Strong finished the game as UConn's joint top-scorers with 22 points each.

JuJu Watkins, the only player besides Bueckers to earn a unanimous selection in AP's Preseason All-American Team, finished as the Trojans' top-scorer with 25 points and scored two free throws in the clutch to put the Huskies under pressure in the final seconds of the game.

UConn's defeat to USC saw them slip from No. 4 to No. 7 in the latest update of the AP Top 25. It will hope to return from the break with a victory in their Big East conference opener against Providence on Dec. 29.
