Trent Sisley, the 2025 recruiting class's No. 6 ranked forward from Indiana, is one of the top targets for many schools. Reports have emerged that Michigan State and Tom Izzo are aggressive in their pursuit of Sisley.
In an interview with Sports Illustrated, Trent Sisley's coach at Heritage Hills High School, Nate Hawkins, revealed that Izzo and his staff have been a regular at the school.
"We've seen [the Spartans] regularly, they've been at Heritage Hills numerous times," Hawkins told Michael France. "They were on him at an early age, I mean, probably going into his sophomore year. They really started recruiting him and offered him, and have never wavered. I think that means a great deal to Trent.
"Coach Izzo, he came down, we sat in our gym and talked. He's kind of laid out a plan in place for Trent. I just really appreciate the openness and the communication that we've had."
Hawkins also added that the Spartan would be the best destination for Sisley.
"The type of program Michigan State is, I mean, they check all the boxes. From every standpoint, the basketball play, the style, the coaching, all the way down the line. So it's going to be a really fun ride here this fall."
Trent Sisley is reported to have his official visit to East Lansing on Oct. 12 and will come to a decision before his senior season starts in November. Apart from Michigan State, the other schools on the forward's list include Purdue, Indiana, Notre Dame and Iowa.
