Shelomi Sanders has endured some tough moments with her father, Pro Football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders, in the recent past following her move to Alabama A&M. However, tensions that were seemingly apparent a few months ago seem to have subsided over time, as seen in their latest interaction.
On Monday, Shelomi took time out to visit Colorado's training facility and shared a reel on Instagram featuring her famous father. During their conversation, Coach Prime teased Shelomi for giving him the side eye due to his collaboration with MRE Bar.
"My daughter hatin' on me, 'cause I got my own bar," said Sanders, before pointing to his signature bar as part of the collaboration with MRE Bar.
Shelomi instantly denied having any issues with his collaboration before getting back at her father with a comeback of her own.
Shelomi retorted, "What parent y'all know likes to just stunt on they kid?"
Sanders also captioned the reel, "Power rankings coming out soon.... It's not looking good for you primetime," hinting she could ultimately get her wish of topping her father's list of power rankings for his children for the month.
Shelomi Sanders' decision to move disappointed Deion Sanders
Shelomi Sanders endured a disappointing sophomore season in college basketball at Colorado, playing in just five games. Across those games, the 5-foot-6 guard averaged just 0.6 points and 0.6 rebounds, failing to make any sort of impression where her father is the coach of the school's football program and her brothers, Shedeur and Shilo, play key roles in the football team.
Following the 2023-24 season, Shelomi hit the transfer portal and ultimately committed to the Alabama A&M Bulldogs for her redshirt junior season. While she cited the mental struggles she endured as the reason for her move, it didn't sit well with Coach Prime, who expressed strong opinions against it.
"It was stupid," Sanders said. "You don't enter the portal. You get a team before you enter the portal. You kinda get a team before you enter the portal. You know, that's what I would advise a child."
In September, Shelomi said they had moved past the ramifications of her decision to move away from the family through a conversation behind closed doors.
While she has enjoyed the energy at Alabama A&M, Shelomi is yet to make an impression with the Bulldogs. Across 11 appearances, she has averaged 1.3 points, 0.3 rebounds and 0.3 assists in 4.8 minutes.
