Iowa Hawkeyes' Jada Gyamfi has been consistent in showing off former teammate Caitlin Clark's WNBA achievements on Instagram. She continued this on Sunday when the Indiana Fever rookie was named the Associated Press Rookie of the Year.

Gyamfi first shared the announced post from Indiana Fever and then reposted one of Clark's photos and wrote:

"my goat."

The Fever were playing Game 1 of their first-round playoffs against the Connecticut Sun on Sunday, and Jada Gyamfi reshared one of Caitlin Clark's tunnel fits pictures and wrote:

"okay mother."

Jada Gyamfi and Caitlin Clark played together for two years with the Hawkeyes. The two, along with Kate Martin and Gabbie Marshall, were known to be close friends.

When Caitlin Clark attended "Saturday Night Live" in New York back in April, Gyamfi, Martin and Marshall were with her, and the guard brought them on stage during the closing goodbyes. They were also in the audience during the 2024 WNBA draft.

While all four are in different places, with Martin in Vegas, Clark in Indiana, Gyamfi in Iowa and Marshall in North Carolina, where she is pursuing her master's, they continue to support each other through shoutouts on Instagram and appearances at WNBA games.

Jada Gyamfi recalls her emotional reunion with Caitlin Clark

Jada Gyamfi has always spoken about her close relationship with Caitlin Clark, detailing the Fever guard's efforts in helping her on the court and off it. With them being away for so long since Clark's move to the WNBA, Gyamfi revealed that their meeting was extremely emotional on her podcast "Fresh Tawk" in August.

"I got to not be so emotional every time I see you because I want to cry every time I see you," she said (Timestamp 5:46).
"And it's so weird. Caitlin, I got to see her this weekend on Saturday. We sat down the couch and I was just like holding her hand and just rubbing her shoulder, smelling her cheeks and her hair. Like, scratching her head, and I'm like, 'Oh look at you!' because it's so weird."

Gyamfi struggled in her first two seasons with the Hawkeyes as she dealt with injuries, that led to fewer minutes and less impact on the scoreboard. Caitlin Clark and Kate Martin helped her navigate the tough times. The forward also shared that Clark took a mother's role within the team while Martin was the father.

With her now preparing for the junior season, Gyamfi is expected to see more time on the hardwood in a leadership role.
