Just like the Paige Bueckers and the entire UConn Huskies roster, Aubrey Griffin also made the most out of the program's media day. She's a redshirt senior who might not be witnessing another preseason media day with the institution next year.
Griffin posted a series of snaps from the eventful day, highlighting her shots with Bueckers and Jana El Alfy along with a few behind the scenes and individual snaps.
"👵🏾👵🏼," Griffin captioned the post.
While Alfy reposted the carousel on her story, Paige Bueckers complimented Aubrey Griffin by commenting on the post.
"My super senior pookie🥰," Bueckers wrote.
Other Huskies also joined in on the fun, complimenting Griffin, Alfy and Bueckers.
"My beautiful strawbs," Caroline Ducharme wrote.
"Awwwwwwwwwwwwwww," Seattle Storm's Nika Muhl commented.
"My grannies!!!🥲💗," Jana El Alfy wrote.
"Twinnn 🥹🤞🏻," Morgan Cheli commented.
Amidst all the supportive comments, former UConn guard Nika Muhl and sophomore Kamorea Arnold launched lighthearted jabs at Griffin's sixth year with the program.
"BOOKIE OLD🥹👵🏾," Arnold wrote.
"Good luck in year 9❤️❤️❤️," Muhl quipped.
Paige Bueckers and Aubrey Griffin feature in UConn's latest social media stunt
Less than two weeks ago, the Huskies roster united for a unique social media collaboration, signaling the start of their practice. Paige Bueckers, Aubrey Griffin, Kamorea Arnold, Jana El Alfy and others repeated the master stroke to release Huskies Big East schedule.
The video showcased every player going through the day when the cameraman named an opposing program. The players then pretended to be surprised before the graphics on the screen yielded the date and location of the matchup.
While the Huskies released their Big East schedule hours ago, the brief video attracted fan engagement in a small time frame.
The Huskies play 18 conference games with 10 opponents. They take on Georgetown, Villanova, Marquette, St. John's, Seton Hall, Providence, Creighton Bluejays and Butler twice and face DePaul and Xavier once.
