Cooper Flagg leads Duke to a hard-fought win

The Blue Devils took the game from the first whistle as they built a ten-point lead and increased it to 13 towards the end of the first half. Cooper Flagg, however, had a slow start as he struggled with missed shots and turnovers.

After the halftime break, Wake Forest slowly reduced the lead and led 39-36 mid-way through the second half. However, Flagg took over, scoring 15 points and helping Duke win comfortably.

Mason Gillis was the only other double-digit scorer as he finished with 11 points and six rebounds. Tyrese Proctor had six points and eight rebounds. Cooper Flagg faced turnover troubles as he had seven and Kon Knueppel had five.

Khaman Maluach had a tough night as he went scoreless but grabbed three rebounds.

Cooper Flagg and the Blue Devils prepare to host conference rivals next as they face NC State on Monday and North Carolina on Feb. 1.
