When it comes to the NFL's Philadelphia Eagles, Dawn Staley always represents. On Sunday, the South Carolina coach wore a custom jacket that included an homage to Eagles legend Randall Cunningham. The jacket was also designed in the Eagles' throwback colors, including the throwback logo and a massive photo of Cunningham.
Staley's stylish jacket, which she wore during the second-ranked Gamecocks' 67-50 home win over then-fifth-ranked Texas, was shared on the Eagles' X account, formerly Twitter.
"@dawnstaley stays reppin," the post was captioned.
As usual, fans took to the comments section to post what they thought about Staley's outfit. Some fans loved the Philadelphia native's jacket and gushed over it.
"Need her to bring the team out the tunnel," a fan wrote.
"Goat Staley," another fan wrote.
A fan commented: "That Randall jacket is pure fire!"
Another fan commented: "Love the way that @dawnstaley Represents our EAGLES!!"
However, other fans were unimpressed with Staley's outfit and posted their thoughts.
"Trash," a fan wrote.
"Who cares?" another fan wrote.
The Philadelphia Eagles advanced to the NFC divisional round of the playoffs after defeating visiting Green Bay 22-10 on Sunday. They will face the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday.
Dawn Staley reveals why she is invested in Unrivaled
Unrivaled, a new women's basketball league, will make its inaugural tipoff on Friday. The 3-on-3 league is an opportunity for women's professional basketball players to compete during the offseason without playing outside the United States.
South Carolina coach Dawn Staley is one of the investors in the league, which has surpassed $35 million in funding, according to ESPN. Two of her former Gamecocks players, Allisha Gray and Aliyah Boston, will be playing in the debut season.
"I think it's a great time because we're in a great place where women's basketball is wanted, we're in demand," Staley said Wednesday. "I think it's going to be a success, and I would have supported it without monetarily supporting it just because I am a fan and enthusiast of women's basketball."
Unrivaled was founded by former UConn players and current WNBA stars Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier. They were also Staley's players during the Tokyo Olympics in 2021 when Team USA won gold.
Unrivaled begins on Friday and ends on March 17. The league will be played at MediaPro Center, a custom facility located in Miami. Six teams play in a round-robin schedule, and the top four teams will advance to the playoffs.
