The post generated some mixed reactions from college hoop fans who trooped to the comment section to share what they thought of the latest AP poll, targeting SEC teams and UConn in the Big East.

"No SEC team will make it past the elite 8," a fan wrote.
"So it looks like the SEC is a basketball conference now," a fan commented.
"The SEC bias this year is fucking disgusting," a fan commented.

Some fans also dropped comments, expressing their displeasure at seeing UConn still ranked despite a run of poor form in recent games.

"UConn and Illinois should not be ranked. Illinois moved down one spot after getting blown out by Maryland at home and beating an 8-loss Northwestern team. This is pathetic," another fan commented.
"Voters will do anything to keep UConn ranked. Such a joke," another fan wrote.

"UConn has lost 3 out of its last 5 and is still hanging in the rankings lol," another fan wrote.
"Uconn being ranked over Clemson is a joke they lose to an unranked team every week," another fan commented.

Auburn men's basketball remained atop the men's college basketball poll for the second consecutive week Monday, after getting 62 votes from the national media panel. The Tigers' top spot was solidified by their 53-51 victory over then-No. 6 Tennessee over the weekend.

"We can play better, and we still were able to beat a great team," Tigers coach Bruce Pearl said per ESPN. "We've won four of the last six games in the last possession. It's going to be a battle every night, but we're happy with this one because that's a great team."

All-American forward Johnni Broome returned from an ankle injury to lead the Tigers with 16 points, 12 rebounds and four blocked shots against the Vols. Auburn is now 18-1 overall and 6-0 in SEC.

Meanwhile, UConn is barely in the rankings, coming off a loss at Xavier Saturday. The Huskies dropped six spots in this week’s poll, moving from No. 19 to No. 25 on Monday. UConn (14-6 overall, 6-3 in the Big East) has also lost three of five games.

The Huskies will look past their disappointing ranking as they prepare to host DePaul on Wednesday night.
