Danny Wolf, a Michigan Wolverines junior, recorded a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds in the team's narrow loss to No. 14 Oklahoma. During the Jumpman Invitational at Spectrum Center in Charlotte on Wednesday, Wolf also added a game-high five assists.

However, despite the solid stat line, many college basketball fans were not impressed, expressing their disappointment on social media that the towering 7-foot center did not dunk when he had the chance.

'Slamuniversity' Instagram account shared a highlight reel of Danny Wolf's play on Wednesday.

"There’s not too many 7-footers moving like Danny Wolf out there," the caption read.

Here are some of the comments on the post:

"I thought he was gonna dunk on the first play," one fan commented with an expressionless face emoji.
"No way he ain’t dunk that," another said.
"Soo we not dunking the ball?" a fan added.

Here are a few more comments:

"I know we all about to criticize him not dunking the ball but also admire the soft touch around the rim and the great finishing without dunking too," one fan reasoned.
"Stop doing wide open lay ups DUNK the fu**in ball," another blunt fan said.
"Too big to be laying the ball up like that," one user commented.

Michigan's Danny Wolf had a decent performance against the Oklahoma Sooners in the Jumpman Invitational. He finished with 15 points and 10 rebounds, his fifth double-double of the season.

Wolf shot 6-of-10 from the field and just 1-of-4 from the 3-point line while connecting half of the free throw attempts.

Here is the full stat line of Danny Wolf's game against Oklahoma:

  • 5 assists
  • 0 blocks

The No. 24 Wolverines' 87-86 loss to the Sooners was their second straight defeat and third of the campaign, dropping the team's record to 8-3. Michigan had another close encounter against John Calipari's Arkansas team in the previous game, losing 89-87 in the Jimmy V Classic at Madison Square Garden.

Wolf almost hit a triple-double against the Razorbacks last week, just one rebound and one assist shy of the elusive feat. He finished that game with 14 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists.

The Glencoe, Illinois native is averaging 12.5 points, 9.9 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game so far this season for the Wolverines. They play Purdue Fort Wayne next, on Sunday at home.
