Flau'jae Johnson has had an electrifying 2024 offseason. The basketball player-turned-rapper solidified her multi-faceted career with standout feats in the music world. Her biggest breakthrough was her debut album, 'Best of Both Worlds,' which enabled her to take over the music charts like no other college basketball player.

The crown jewel of her success was a surprise feature with Lil Wayne on the 'Came Out a Beast' song, which they cherried by shooting a music video in Los Angeles. Behind that momentum and her intentions of continuing her endeavors with the mic, Johnson hints at another big move in her musical career, possibly a collaboration with Jay Z's label Roc Nation.

On her Instagram story, Flau'Jae - who has an NIL valuation of $1.2 million (as oer On3) - posted a photo from Manhattan airport, citing that she's up for an important meeting.

"NOW OFF TO A BIG MEETING. BLESSINGS I USED TO DREAM OF DAYS LIKE THIS," she quipped.

A hint of her possible collaboration with Jay Z's record label emerged when Johnson uploaded a boomerang from an office space, where her name appeared on the television screen alongside Roc Nation's and EQ's logos.

Johnson didn't wait for her musical talents to be discovered. Instead, even without the Lil Wayne link-up, she actively thrived to forge a multi-faceted career for herself.

She has released multiple songs and collaborated with Jamaica-born rapper Wyclef Jean and a hip-hop artist under Drake’s label Roy Woods. Moreover, at the beginning of last year, Johnson’s talents were seen as fitting by Jay Z’s Roc Nation, which offered her a multi-million deal.

As the new college basketball season starts, Johnson will keep music on the side and focus solely on oncourt matters as she hopes to sustain the hardships and challenges that come with simultaneously pursuing multiple careers.
