Hunter Dickinson was involved in an oddly aggressive incident during the second half of the Jayhawks' 74-61 win over the TCU Horned Frogs at Schollmaier Arena on Wednesday night.
Dickinson battled for the offensive rebound with TCU's Trazarien White after Kansas guard Rylan Griffen missed a 3-point attempt. The referees blew the whistle with 12:55 left in the second half, ruling that both Dickinson and White possessed the ball.
The players continued battling for the basketball despite hearing the officials' whistles. TCU's Vasean Allette and Malick Diallo joined White in trying to wrestle the ball away from Dickinson, with the action moving outside the playing court.
The incident lasted for around 26 seconds before the TCU Horned Frogs finally gave up and let Dickinson have the basketball. The referees reviewed the play once the Kansas center gave up the ball and issued technical fouls to White and Dickinson.
