South Carolina coach Dawn Staley's commentary for the college football season continues as she tuned into the Kentucky vs Ole Miss game on Saturday. This comes after she posted several times about the Colorado Buffaloes during one of their games.
Saturday's game saw Kentucky get the 20-17 win over Ole Miss and coach Staley wrote on X:
"This Kentucky/Ole Miss game……is going down to the wire! Hey Kentucky football….you’re welcome because after @GamecockFB you have been ballin!! Ole Miss you’re on deck!😂😂😂. "
Since Dawn Staley's South Carolina beat Kentucky 31-6 in Week 2, the Wildcats have gone 2-1 in their last three games. They gave No. 1-ranked Georgia a scare in a 13-12 defeat, then thrashed Ohio 41-6 before pulling the big upset against Ole Miss.
After an eventful summer, Staley is back in Columbia, South Carolina, preparing her next championship-winning team. She has expressed great hope in her team and they are the most favored to win a back-to-back.
However, the coach also admitted that the team was still very much at the level of daycare and is yet to advance to preschool. But if they manage to win a title, what stage they are in would not matter, she added.
Dawn Staley is a fan of the Colorado Buffaloes
On Sept. 21, the Colorado Buffaloes got a 38-31 OT win over the Baylor Bears. During this game, Dawn Staley established her status as an immense fan of the program as she tweeted her commentary on X.
Shedeur Sanders had an incredible night as he threw 341 yards and finished with two touchdowns. Coach Staley shared her reaction as she tweeted:
"Oh my world….Shedeur Sanders you too are darn good! Goodness!!!!."
Buffaloes two-way star Travis Hunter was the perfect partner for quarterback Sanders as the two worked perfectly together to clinch the win. Hunter forced a fumble in overtime, which sealed the victory for Colorado.
"Two words that are names... TRAVIS HUNTER!!! Goodness!!!," coach Staley tweeted.
She also had a special request for the Buffaloes team as she wrote:
“Hey @CUBuffsFootball….I need a Travis Hunter jersey asap! I ain’t hard to find! Thank you in advance!”
Coach Staley is yet to update everyone if the Bufaloes fulfilled her request. For now she is back to enjoying the games while coaching her Gamecocks to another championship.
